What is striping and shotblasting?

Shot blasting consists of attacking the surface of a material with one of many types of shots. Shotblasting is used to remove scales from the surface of a material, but it is also done sometimes to impart a particular surface to the object being shot blasted. Different materials being shot impart a different effect. Apart from sand you can shoot steel balls of different sizes and diameters and granules of silicon carbide. We use the latest guns to throw these particles.
